Our member Workforce Convos series continues to spark critical conversations and generate actionable insights that shape the workforce development field. These events provide a platform for diverse voices—including policy experts, workforce leaders, and young adults—to share their perspectives and collaborate on solutions to pressing workforce challenges.
Understanding and Empowering the Next Generation
During the Bridging Expectations Convo, we heard directly from young adults who underscored the importance of active listening, mentorship, and trust-building in their professional relationships. They shared a desire for workplaces that value their contributions, offer flexibility, and invest in their personal and professional growth. These young voices reminded us that creating opportunities for self-advocacy and aligning career paths with individual strengths and interests are essential to retaining and empowering the next generation of talent.
Connecting Policy to Practice
Our Policy Review Convo brought together workforce stakeholders to examine how current and future policies impact workforce development. Insights from Jacob Sitati, Director of Policy & Advocacy, and other participants illuminated strategies for navigating the complexities of policy interpretation and implementation.
