Workforce Convo: Best Practices for Workforce Development, Apprenticeships & Employer Engagement

Join the Chicago Jobs Council for an insightful, in-person Workforce Convo— on workforce development best practices, including apprenticeships and how to bring employers into the conversation for a more inclusive, skilled workforce.

Featuring Gina Rosen from Opportunity At Work, a national leader in building apprenticeship programs that open doors for underrepresented communities, this event will explore successful case studies, innovative apprenticeship models, and how to integrate employers into apprenticeship programs that create lasting opportunities for job seekers from diverse backgrounds.

At CJC, we believe apprenticeships are a key tool in breaking down systemic barriers to employment, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, has a chance to build meaningful careers. This event will help strengthen partnerships between workforce development professionals and employers to design apprenticeship programs that work for both job seekers and businesses, driving mutual growth.

What to Expect:

  • Insights from industry leaders on successful apprenticeship models

  • Best practices for engaging employers in workforce development

  • Networking opportunities with fellow professionals and community leaders

  • Coffee and light breakfast will be available starting at 9 AM, before the session begins

Whether you are looking to start or expand apprenticeship programs or simply want to learn from successful case studies, this is an event you won't want to miss. Join us as we work together to build a more equitable workforce through apprenticeship programs that work.

This is a members-only event.
