Did you hear? Pennsylvania ended their budget stalemate last week, meaning that Illinois has now gone longer without a state budget than…well, ever as far as we can tell.

Register now to join CJC, the National Association of Social Workers Illinois Chapter, and other Responsible Budget Coalition members in Springfield on Tuesday, April 5 (next week) to advocate for a fair budget!

Everyone is back in Springfield next week, which means it’s time for us to converge on the capital and demand a fair budget. This Advocacy Day is more than a rally. This is a strategic effort to move key legislators towards supporting a responsible budget.

The day will begin with training. You’ll learn details about how the budget process works so you’re prepared to discuss it with legislators. When the afternoon advocacy session starts, you’ll be ready to educate them about the importance of a budget.

Register by Friday, April 1 to be part of this critical action!

The harm to our communities must not continue. This report details the ongoing damage, including 47,000 individuals without substance abuse and prevention programs, 1,800 families without autism services, and over 3,000 seniors going without meals.

This gives us thousands of reasons to head to Springfield next week, and demand a responsible budget with the revenue our communities need.
