A new paper from the Workforce Benchmarking Network released this month shares lessons learned as groups of community-based, workforce service providers came together to analyze their workflows and identify new best practices.  After goals were set, technical assistance was provided to improve data analysis and qualitative assessment. In the end, a number of lessons were learned about using data to improve workforce development program implementation and outcomes.  This paper serves as a call to not only continue to improve data collection across the workforce development system, but also to improve the use of that data in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
